Fisher Price Discover ‘N Grow Jumperoo Review!

If there’s one thing that has always been on my wish list ever since we had our first daughter it was a Fisher Price Jumperoo. EVERYONE we know absolutely raves about them and every child I have seen in them seems to be entertained for ages.

We have been so close to buying one on several occasions. The only thing that had held us back from buying one when my toddler girl was born was lack of space, we thought it would take up a considerable amount of space in our living room, which we don’t really have much of anyway. We opted for another Fisher Price bouncer instead which was slightly smaller. This time round when baby girl was born she was put into a Pavlick Harness at only a few weeks old for hip dysplasia and only came out of it at 5 months old so we hadn’t really got round to buying anything new like this as she couldn’t have used it.

When the lovely people at Fisher Price recently offered to send us their Discover ‘N Grow Jumperoo to try there was absolutely no way I could say no. I was so excited!

When the Jumperoo arrived hubby set about putting it together and said he found it easy to do and the instructions were very straightforward and simple to understand.

We popped baby girl into it and she immediately loved it, bouncing herself up and down with joy and exploring all of it’s features.

The Fisher Price Discover ‘N Grow Jumperoo offers lots of lights, music and toys for baby to play with as baby jumps. It has a fun musical keyboard which operates on two settings with music and frog and bouncing noises. It is surrounded by a giraffe with rings around it’s neck which baby can move, a penguin which can be spun round and round and a monkey hanging above it on a spring which moves when baby reaches out and pushes it.

There’s a dial which turns with fun pictures of an elephant, lion, zebra and monkey.

At the other side is an elephant mirror with a small rail above it with three discs which can be moved from side to side and a roller full of beads which baby loves spinning around and around.

The internal seat (which is removable and machine washable and can be popped in the dryer) moves full circle for baby to be able to face and play with any of the toys too so if baby’s attention is lost and she is getting cranky playing with the same thing we can simply move her round and regain her attention and interest by offering something new.

There’s also two little hanging toys overhead, a bee and a bird, which baby can reach up for and play with and a teether.

On the space front it doesn’t actually take up as much room as I thought it would. It certainly isn’t sat in the middle of our living room obscuring the view of the television with us having to walk around it as hubby probably thought it was going too. It has fit quite neatly at the side of the room and we still have lots of space! The legs can actually fold for extra storage too but we haven’t done that yet as it’s ok where it is at present.

I’m right in what I’ve always thought, the Fisher Price Jumperoo is a fantastic product that offers endless fun and keeps baby entertained and active. Baby girl loves her Discover ‘N Grow Jumperoo and I am sure it will help build strength in her little legs too. I’m really glad we took the opportunity presented to us and I would definitely recommend the Fisher Price Discover ‘N Grow Jumperoo to new mums!

Fisher Price also do a great range of baby seat bouncers too, we had the Rainforest Deluxe bouncer for our first little girl and it was fantastic. Have you tried any of the Fisher Price bouncers or jumperoo’s? What are your views? do you have a favourite?

  1. We’ve been looking into getting a Jumperoo for our little one for a while now! He’s outgrown his bouncy chair and has got a serious case of the wiggles! Thanks for your review!
