Walkers Mighty Lights Crisps Review

Regular readers to my blog will know I am on a diet in a bid to lose my post baby weight. Being on a diet doesn’t have to mean that you can’t indulge a little at times though. The thing I love about my diet is that I am allowed so many syns each day, which means I can still have a treat, such as a piece of cake, a glass of wine or a snack like a tasty packet of crisps. So when the lovely people at Walkers offered to send us some of their fantastic new crisps that boast 30% less fat than standard potato crisps how could I refuse?!

Walkers Mighty Lights are tasty ridged crisps that are available in three tasty flavours, Lightly Salted, Cheese & Onion and Roast Chicken.

Walkers Mighty Lights

Not only are Walkers Mighty Lights ideal for me on my diet, being 30% less fat and only 5.5 Slimming World syns, but with no artificial colours or preservatives, no MSG and a source of fibre they are also perfect for the kids, as a snack or a lunch box extra.

When our goodies arrived in the mail toddler girl immediately volunteered to put herself forward to sample a bag, and if she was going to do it, how could I not join her?!

Toddler girl had a bag of the Lightly Salted, which she really liked and ate the whole bag. She doesn’t eat crisps that often and is quite picky at the minute so I take this as a big seal of approval.

I had a bag of the Roast Chicken flavour, which was really tasty. Having had low fat crisps before that can taste a little bland, these weren’t bland at all. They were strong in flavour and texture.

We couldn’t leave hubby out on the taste testing, so he opted for the Cheese and Onion and he also thought they tasted great too, certainly an option for him to take to work in future.

Shortly after our crisps arrived we were due to go away with some of my family for a few days, so we packed a few packets to take with us. Everyone certainly enjoyed them, not only as a snack on an evening, but also to take out with us during the day as a picnic extra. It was during this time that I got to try some of the other varieties a bit more and I loved them all, they are full of flavour and really tasty.

Walkers Mighty Lights

Following all the family trying Walkers Mighty Lights I can safely say it’s a big thumbs up all round! We would certainly recommend them as a healthy, low fat snack that all the family can enjoy! With the new school year fast approaching Walkers Mighty Lights are ideal for the school lunch box too so make sure you stock up!
