When my first daughter was born bibs were pretty much bibs, at least that’s how it seemed. I hadn’t come across all the stylish bandanna bibs that are so popular now. My niece, who turns two at Christmas, pretty much has a bandanna bib to match every outfit! So of course once baby number two was born I had to see what all the fuss was about!
I went out and bought a handful of them and can see the appeal, they certainly catch a lot more drool than your average bib and trust me, that’s a blessing once teething starts! They also help prevent damp chins, which can result in a rash and soreness, as well as stopping clothes getting soggy unlike normal bibs by catching any drool before it reaches baby’s clothes. However, saying that, the ones I bought certainly seemed to soak through quite quickly still. Admittedly the ones I bought weren’t the most expensive of bibs, but still they came from the likes of Next and Mamas & Papas so they certainly weren’t cheap.
Then recently I got talking to the lovely Alison from Dribblebuster who very kindly offered to send me one of their bibs to try out. It was on receiving this gorgeous bib that I realised exactly what had been missing!
Dribblebuster bibs are fantastic! Not only do they come in a range of beautiful designs that are well finished, they also absorb lots more dribble than the bibs I have previously tried and seem to stay drier and a lot less soggy! I think this is down to the lovely soft yet thick lining on the back of the bib, which was lacking from the other bibs I have used.
I chose the very cute and stylish Rosie print but you can choose from a host of options including spots, checks, hearts and stars, through to elephants, flags and even stylish Liberty Art prints.
The bib has two popper fasteners at the back which are easy to fasten and it means the bibs can grow with your baby and are fully machine washable at 40 degrees.
The bibs aren’t the cheapest you will find and retail at around £7.99 each. However in my eyes the price is justifiable as they really are great! If you haven’t already tried Dribblebuster bibs and have a teething baby what are you waiting for? Check them out for yourselves!
