Losing the Baby Weight – Weeks 5 – 7

I’m 7 weeks into my diet in my bid to lose my baby weight and I have to confess I have found it really hard to get back on the wagon properly. Every other time I have done Slimming World I have been really focused and have completed my food diary every day, monitoring everything I have eaten and ensuring I stick within my syn allowances. This is what has kept me on track each time as I find it hard to just keep it all in my head. I managed to do this for the first 2 weeks and since then I haven’t completed a food diary and as a result don’t feel I have been following the Slimming World plan properly. However I have still been eating healthily.

Regardless, I have still been taking myself along to weigh in each week… trying not to cringe!

That’s why I am actually quite amazed that I am still managing to lose weight, albeit slowly!

In the last three weeks I have managed to lose 3lbs. 1/2lb one week, maintaining the next and 2.5lbs this last week, as well as getting Slimmer of The Week this week too!

I’m really trying to kick myself, as although I am heading in the right direction I know I could be doing so much better if I really put my mind to it! This last week I was out for 3 meals and at 2 of those meals I had desserts!  Over the course of the week I also had several glasses of wine, so to have lost 2.5lbs was amazing! I was expecting to put weight on instead!

I’ve now received my half stone award and was slimmer of the week at my class too!

  1. Hooray! Well done hun. I hate the fact it’s such a slog and seemingly so slow a process (given that I seem capable of putting on 3lbs in one sitting!). Keep going x BTW – lovely pic of you in the red dress!
